whats the best way to drain the oil out? best way to refill it back? and best oil to use?



basically i want to know how to do this

Pay the quicky-lube $39.95 to do it with their sucker machine. It's the only way to do the front anyway.

and best oil to use?

Mobil 1, Valvoline full syn, Royal Purple, Redline, are all good. I use Mobil 1, buy it myself and give it to the quicky-lube to put in.

Project linked below is how to replace the cover (which requires draining and refilling) so just ignore the part about putting on the new cover.



When I replaced my fluid, I had to use a gasket to have it not leak. Others didn't need it.. just FYI. Ford did not use one orginially.. so others can pipe in on that I guess.



I used Royal Purple, make sure to find out if you have LS or not so that you buy the right fluid.
