2002 4x4, How do you ajust the rear drums? Ive read conflicting opinions between the parking brake activation and driving in reverse and stepping on the brake pedal. Is it possible to pull the wheel and adjust with out too much trouble and how would you do it? Thanks in advance.

On the backing plate on the drum is a rubber grommet. That is where you insert a drum brake adjusting spoon.

yes, Best to jack up the back of the truck, and as tom said go in the adjust hole with the adjust spoon and adjust the brake while hand spinning the tire until there is resistance, Thats the best adjustment...

You can do the ebrake in reverse and sett he parking brake every night for a week, But the spoon is the best way..

Todd is right because there is no auto adjustment, I used a screwdriver to push on the star. It can only go one way, so if you have to force it to hard you are going the wrong way. I am not sure if it is up or down._Ron
