factory radio? it is common over time for the tuner in the factory ford radio to go out. being an audio installer for year on end i have seen dozens of fords with the tuner in the radio shot. may want to look at spending some money on yourself and get an aftermarket radio or a replacement ford. if it is aftermarket you may want to check connections and gound wires. also be sure that the antenna is tight and free of rust (underneath as well).

Mine is starting to go out also. I've had is only since Jan, 06. I listen to a lot of MP2 CDs. I also have teh XT Roady with FM tuner. I noticed that teh FM tuner is starting to get staticly, although the XM is still about the same. although that's about twice the volume to be able to hear it.

So ya I'm thinking about the Pioneer D2 GSP, CD. I already have the XM and iPod tuners in my other/work car.

Also I have the perium sound system.

That is really an odd conclusion. I have never had a digital radio tuner go bad, and I have been around since the first ones came out...

I'd check the antenna base to see if it is tight. Mine was coming loose, I needed to pop off the cover at the base, clean the plate and tighten the screws (with a little blue locktite). No problems since.
