Remote Entry

I want to add remote entry to my 04 ST XLS. Should the harness already be there for a factory module? If so will one from an explorer work? How would I program the remotes if so? Thanks Dan

do you mean keyless entry? or remote start?

My bad, Keyless entry, If I go with a new system vs salvaged one, I will do remote start as well.

You can get a stickon to the door keyless for $50 to $70. It is battery powered and works on RF. This will only work if your trac already has the key fob system.

No keyfob yet. That is what I want to add, and will probably add a door keyless as well.

If you have all the parts you need, i don't see why it would not work.



if the xls had the option of adding keyless or remote lock its possible the harness may already in place for the module.



Check your owners manual and see if something is in it about programming keyless entry set ups..



my 04 xlt came with keyless entry, in my owners manual it gives programming info.
