remote start question

Is there anything different between an 01 ST and an 04+ ST wiring wise? I was looking at this kit and It states it has everything to make this work (everything but the electrical tape LMFAO) on a 04 ST but isn't compatible With 01-03 STs.

Noticed the year difference thing when I installed mine in a '04. Didn't notice anything that blatantly stood out. Seemed to me that it was just different wires to connect to. Anything I've seen states that you can use the same starter in any year. Whose remote stater do you have? A fantastic site is Bulldog Security for vehicle wiring diagrams. Vast array and some nice hints as well

I dont have one yet was just looking around. I just want it to start the truck and warm up for my kids before school.

I was going to have my dealer do this, is it easy enough for a dummy like me to do it myself and what kit did you buy?
