Well as suggested by KPC I removed the front license plate holder by cutting the rivets out. Much easier than I thot. I think it makes the truck look much cleaner and sportier w/o it. So thanks for the help!

I removed the front plate holder on my '04. Used a basic flat frame. Screwed that back to the bumper. Looks better than the holder sticking out 2".

Agreed, it immediately changes the appearance from street-car to show-car.
It was the very first thing I did. I literally drove the car home from the dealership, grabbed a few tools from the garage & removed it within 30 minutes of owning the truck.
In Texas we have to have the plate mounted (somewhere) on the front of the vehicle, so I resulted to suction cups in the front windshield.
I don't know if I'll go as far as painting a few plugs for the holes, but I sure am glad I removed it.
