Replacing the rear brakes

So my truck has a frozen rear passenger caliper I’m taking this opportunity to upgrade my rear brakes with power stop drilled and slotted rotors with better calipers and pads how hard is it to remove a frozen caliper I’m not paying $1100.00 for a shop to do it any help would be greatly appreciated if anyone is in the southwest Florida area and would want to help there’s a case of beer for the help lol

No harder than one that is not. You might have to tap it off with a small hammer.

Honestly, the rear brakes do a fraction of the stopping, last place I'd spend money on performance is there. Stock stuff is fine there. The front does 70-80% of the actual braking.

DONT waste the money on drilled and slotted..... they eat up pads.....

Get the Powerstop red powder coated calipers form Rock auto.... Then get the AKIBONO pads and the Raybestos R300 rotors with the squiggles, flush fluid and use Valvoline synthetic brake fluid.

Im on 2 years ( 45K mikes) of driving like an A hole, pads still have 1/2 life left, rotors perfect and pedal firm and stops on a dime !!!!

Do what you want, but this combo kicks ass and works mint !!!

ALSO i bet the caliper is fine, its the slides that jam up and rust..... SYNTHETIC ceramic grease on new slides...…

ALSO get the pads with the spring attached, not the other style..... Spring goes on the outside and faces DOWN..... never make noise...
