I use on that stuff and the Tonneau cover, Leather protectant..... It sounds funny but works awesome, doesn't run and lasts a good time..

I use a product called Formula 113 "Bead-X". Not greasy: holds up well here, in Texas heat: can use on the entire truck (glass, paint, weatherstrip, etc). Amazon has it.

I just redid mine about a week ago using Krylon Fusion #2421 Satin Black spray paint. It's made for plastics. No sanding or priming. Just make sure the boards are clean and that you mask the areas you don't want over spray on before you start.

I did just the end caps about a year ago and they held up well even through an Ohio winter but the rest of the boards were starting to look faded and nasty compared to the ends so I did all of the plastic areas this time.

I took this pic a couple of minutes ago. Sorry that the lighting isn't great and the running board is a little dirty but I haven't washed the truck for several days.
