USAF from 30 July 1962 to 31 July 1992 (30 years plus 1 day). Then NASA Langley until April 1997, and Moharimet Elementary School till August 2006. Retired???? Now work full time for my wife. Candace Pratt Photography in Lee NH. Retire? I don't think I know how..

Retired in April 08 after 4 years active & 28 years AF Reserves. Also forced into retirement last April after 37 years at my Quality Engineer civilian job. I'm a healthy, active, young at heart 61 year old with a younger wife and a college-bound 16 year old daughter, so I won't be going into full time retirement for a while.

Retired USCG after 23 yrs, working on second pension as a Federal Gov employee now. I am 46 and will hold two full gov retirements at age 57.. Should have started my TSP WAY back when I joined the CG, but,,, I didn't. It is doing well though.
Retired from US Army with 20yrs 8 days. 70% Combat Related disability from the VA, plus military pension. Since my retirement in 1983, I have worked for several firms in IT Management and consulting positions.
I live on my VA Disability and military pension and bank my IT Administrator salary. My home will be paid off in 3 years, and I don't have anyother bills. If I put any charges on my AmEx card, I pay it off immediately.
When I turned 59.5 years old Icashed in 2 401K's, paid the taxes and put the money in several other secure investments. I'm 63 and could retire anytime I want, but I enjoy my work and the company I work for. I will continue to work as long as I continue to enjoy going to work in the morning.

Retired 4 years ago from fire department after 27 years. Now working 8-5 at a University. Till I get all my kids through college I won't completely retire.
