I just recently added a roof rack cross bar to the Trac (thank you Coastie, everything looks great!:D) and I am getting an awful lot of wind noise, I mean I can hear it over the radio. Is there any way to cut this down a bit? I have it in the front, maybe in the back would it be not so noisy?? Any suggestions/similar problems? Thanks- Heather

If it (each cross bar) has a fat edge and a slim edge, make sure the fat edge is forward. Slim edge forward makes lots of noise. The bar oscillates in the wind with the slim edge forward.

Glad you got it and it all s well as far as that goes.

By chance do you have the moon roof? If so, I wonder if you add a vent to the roof if it would help.

I have no idea, just throwing it out there is all....

I had the same problem with my Yakima round crossbars. I added the Yakima fairing and it did help with the noise but it is still very noticeable. Nothing will make the noise completely go away because the wind will still be hitting it. BTW, I only notice the noise when the sunroof is open.

Also check your placement, too far forward or back will also cause wind noise..

I would get the yakima fairing it solved most of my noise problems. Still some noise but it takes away the wining that is there without it.
