Rough idle at start up only - 2005 XLT

Good morning,
Seems putting it back in park and being patient alleviates the issue until next start up.
New plugs and wires did not help fix this issue.
Have not tried EGR sensor yet but I assume the idle would be rough constantly if this was the problem (not just at start up)?
Any thoughts, suggestions would be appreciated.

This may sound odd, but I had a similar problem with no codes. It went away when I had the dashboard rebuilt.

I have not checked for codes yet but that certainly sounds like a logical step. Gas gauge has been wonky as of late as well but I assume that is unrelated to this.

you would be surprised how much of the electrical controls go through the dash, Weak battery or bad alt too....

Is the check engine light on? Was it on when the misfire was happening?
