This is really about as crazy as it gets. Our country is going broke and the Dept of Energy is handing over another $730 million to a Russian Billionaire who is the 29th richest man in the world??

Good and fine if there's a return on investment. Maybe the 29th richest man in the world was only $739 million away from making nuclear fusion commercially viable. Can't wait!

Hugh,

With all the other DOE loans to energy companies that have gone belly up in a year or less, I don't hold out much hope that we will ever see a dime of the $739 million.

Kinda makes me wonder about a solar company that opened in my town last year. Not a single person from our town, as far as I can tell, has been employed by them. They produce nothing. I haven't had enough interest yet to really look into them, but they're a German company. Mage Solar

Hugh,

Mage Solar seems to be a legitimate German company although they have only been in the USA for about 2.5 years. They seem to be a big Solar player in Europe and even have a German soccer stadium with their name....Kind of like how big US corps are buying or sponsoring stadiums to rename them after their corporation.

I'll look into it more. At any rate, I'm glad to have a growing company in our town when most manufacturing and warehousing jobs are closing down here and farmers are struggling.
