Well, when I first was purchasing my 08 STA, I had my 01 ST sold to a friend. He wanted to make monthly payments and I accepted to try to help him out as he is down on his luck for the past few years. Now im selling my ST because he never came up with the $2000.00 up front payment we agreed on 4 months ago. He knows im looking elsewhere to sell and is ok with it. Anyways, I put a little thought into what I'd actually be happy with getting for the 01, and came up with $14,000.00 obo. I believe the truck is worth $7000 to $8000 CAD without any mods, and I have at least $20,000.00 into her, so I figure $14,000.00 is a good start for an asking price. I am not desperate to sell, so I can leave it for sale for some time before I even think about lowering the price. Someone out there knows a good deal when they see one.

Anyways, check it out. My 2nd add, have one on kijiji right now as well.

My experiance has been on a moded vehicle. You can only get 1K to 2K $$'s more than value. That is selling to someone that wants the mods even. Kinda the way it is unless it is a classic or limited edition or high demand.

Not trying to rain on you but good luck, especialy with the gas prices. I have moded most my rides all my life. Had to eventually sell some of them at market value. They werent hurting my pocket book waiting for the right buyer either.

I agree with Eddie. You will probably have to settle for the $7K or $8K. It is a seven year old vehicle, and the back seat is almost useless with that big speaker. If you reinstall the original seat and remove that speaker, then you can sell it easier. In it's current state you may have to settle for 5 or 6 K.

if it dips to 5k I'll take it... hahaha

In the mean time by all means hold out. The right buyer will come, its a beautiful truck. I dont see why you wouldnt get at least 10k if not more for it. I have sold many modded vehicles in the past, just be patient, I have rarely lost much money on them. As long as its not costing you too much to keep it then just wait.....

Good luck. Hopefully someone in Edmonton buys it so I can see it cruising down the streets here.

Good luck bro,

its a beautiful truck. you shouldn't have any problem gettin $10k for it (maybe a little more if you find the right buyer).

Otherwise, you could part out the mods and sell them on here. I did that with my Ram that I sold a few years ago. I have several thousands of dollars in that, that I would have never got back out of it. I did keep most of the stock equip though, if I wouldn't have done that I would have been SOL. Just a thought, and beautiful ST by the way!

Well, Im going to be optimistic... The thing is, if I could only get 7-8k for it, I can sell the parts alone and get more than that. So worse comes to worse, I will strip it down from the mods, sell them all individually, and try to get 5k for the truck missing speakers, etc...

Crossing my fingers.

well dude if you want to sell some mode and i can take the part of mt trac an put them on yours i will be in you neck of the wood on june 27 ish so if you want to swap the tail lights + me giving you some cash type i dea let me know i am in edmonton you are in calgary...

this will help me out and would help you out...

I would suggest making some flyers and putting them at high schools, especially the high schools in parts of town that have well funded kids. With graduation coming up, you might luck up and find the kid who can run home and say "Daddy, Daddy... I want this..."

A friend of mine had a hard time selling his Explorer with all the mods. I made a few flyers and he had business cards made to leave with the flyers. Took about a week, but some kid at one of the high schools 'just had to have it'... Daddy brought Jeff cash and drove it home... :)

Nice, but a 01, glut of trucks that are on the market, and gas prices that will continue to rise, I just don't see you getting 14K for this. Good Luck.

Modding 101

you mod for your enjoyment, mods are worth 10 cents on the dollor at re-sale (if that).

You should save every replaced Item, I have a loft full of ST and Stang parts.

When you sell, return all to OEM and sell the mod parts on the net ( you can usually recoup 50 cents on the dollor) I can sell my rear wing and airdamn for 100% of what I paid for them:)

Again mod for your fun, at re-sale they are near worthless.
