are mirrors from a 2006 mercury montanier (explorer) fit on a 02 sport trac. i really like the courtesy light it come with
side mirrors

I asked this question a while back about the '98-'01 Explorer/Mountaineer mirrors.
They look identical, but I was told they weren't compatible because there's something different in the part that mounts to the door. Seemed to me that those would be a direct fit, as they were built on the same assembly line as the '01 Trac...:huh:
