single cd vs 6 cd for 08

This may have been discussed and I apologize if this is a redundant story...

I just bought an 08 Limited, my 04 had the 6 cd player and I opted to cut corners and get the single cd. What I found was that buying an ipod ($180) for less than half the money than the 6 cd option ($600) was a much better way to go.

This thing holds 1000 songs where the 6 cd holds maybe 80-100.

I bought a little leather pouch that holds the ipod and cord and velcro'd it just in front of the usb port in the center console. Works great.

Just a thought for anyone contemplating a new vehicle.

p.s. Although I did cut a couple corners, I did upgrade to the v8 and love it!!!

Just purchased a new '08 V-8 last evening, Deep Blue Pearl Clearcoat with single CD set-up. I was impressed with how much the '08 feels like my '04 F-150 in many respects. Traded in the very basic '04 and closed the deal for just under 15K, tax/tags included. Have owned an '02 amd '04 ST so I am a believer in the vehicle type. Looking forward to driving the '08 for many years. Good luck with your ST.

Congrats to both of you on your new 08 ST's. Going for the single CD with an iPod is definitely a way to get more bang for your buck.
