Sport Trac Lettering

I have a question. All the other sport tracs ive seen in my area have explorer and below it sport trac on the left side of the tail gate. However mine is on both sides. Is this a body shop mistake or did ford do this to certain sport tracs?[Broken External Image]:

What nameplates they had and where they were located varied by model year.

03, 04 and 05 are like yours. earlier models had them on the same side and the sport trac was in red

both of mine are/were on the drivers side but i took the explorer emblem off

Looks like the dealership moved the badges around to include theirs.

that is a ton of work for a lot kid to do - the emblen would become an expense. Those stick pretty darned good -

yea I get that impression after looking at other members tracs. I think thatll be coming off in the very near future

I do know that it went to the body shop just before i bought it. the previous owner did back into something and the dealership fixed it before i bought it. Also did a bad job on pin striping it so i had it taken off

oops, open mouth insert foot. i just went out and looked at my 04 and they are on the drivers side.



my 03 were on both sides. could have been the dealer moving them around. i remember i took a a pick of them into the dealer so i could make sure i would get the right sport trac emblems to add to the front doors.
