Apparently Ford is serious about a Ranger redesign.

Before everyone says how ugly the truck is, remember that it is a test mule. We probably won't see what the actual next gen Ranger will look like until 2010 or 2011.

looks like it's got a mazda logo under there

Aren't these usually just a bunch of random body pieces thrown on there at this point? It is ugly, but it'll most likely be much different.

EDIT - guess I should have read a little more..."never mind the mazda looking front end" ha

It looks like it has a Mazda grill on it, the logo is more circular than oval shaped....Hopefully there will be some definate upgrades to the look though.

Edit: Same thing for me MJS, we must've been posting at the same time. Although why would it have a mazda front end?? Ford sold off their stake in Mazda if I'm not mistaken?

it could just be something they had laying around, put on to make it legal to drive. they're just testing the guts at this point i'm guessing.

Rangers and B-series trucks are still built on the same platform. Ford may not own Mazda, but they still corroborate. The Mazda6 is built on the same platform as the Fusion, the CX7 is an Edge. The Tribute is an Escape.
