I have a '02 ST, front disc/rear drum. I just had my front brakes done about 2 months ago and now I hear my brakes squeking when I'm braking and slow down to about 10-15 MPH. I wondering, could that be my rear brakes? Maybe they need to be done? Any help on this I'd appreciate it. Thanks

zades23,

My guess is who ever did your brakes either used very cheap pads that do not includes slippers (slippers are isolator pads the adhere to the back of the pad and reduce squealing), or they did not use brake lube on the sliding parts, which include the slider pins and the ears on the brake pads that they hang from on the caliper frame.

Take it back and tell them to lube the pins and the pad ears.

Most better quality aftermarket pads are much quieter and give better life than the OEM pads.
