Hi all,

Lately, (but not always), there is a high pitch squeek when I turn the steering wheel. When it does occur, even a small amount of turning will produce the squeek.

Today, I jacked the front end off the ground and tried to reproduce the problem by turning the wheel back and forth so I could troubleshoot, but it wouldn't squeek at all.

I then lowered it and it's not squeeking now, although I'm confident it will return.

The steering fluid is fine....

What do you think?

How many miles? my guess is the pump. After some miles, the fluid will make a little noise going through the pump. Maybe a little dirt in there. Try replacing the fluid.

Lift the tires off the ground and inspect under the ST supported with jack stands. Start by checking lower ball joints, outer tie rods, and sway bar end links. Report back and GL.
