When I wanted to buy the 2008 Adrenalin in early 2008 I had to ask the dealer to print out the options. They would not be stocking any of these and I had to order direct from Ford factory. That was fine as I had ordered my 2001 Sport Trac and it takes just about 3 weeks. It's a great process. When my Adrenalin came in it was the first one the the DC market delivered and when I got there the entire service dept. was outside surrounding it! They had never seen it. Since I have had mine I have never seen another Adrenalin here in the area around Dulles Airport in Northern Virginia.

The seats are all black, included are special Arenalin floor mats, 20" tires/wheels, all wheel drive, special/different grill and front end as well as removal of the roof rack which makes it look lower to the ground. The options are a little different but everything else is the same.

The best vehicle I have ever owned and I'm 58. Ford did this one right but I hated to see them stop selling them. Ford made a mistake as there is no small truck/medium truck option now from them. I won'y buy Japanese or Korean trucks as I think they all look like crap. So, I await Ford bringing a small truck back to market.

I went with 6 versus the 8 because I had heard of issue with the 2008 V8 6 speed tranny at the time.....all resolved now but at the time it was a big issue percolating around the vehicle as that was a new tranny.

Heyward's on point, except all wheel drive was an option. Mine's 2WD, which is what I wanted; I don't drive off-road and there's less to go wrong. Oddly enough, most F-Series pickups I see here in Texas are 4WD. Go figure.

I've owned 2 2010 STA's. I totalled a 2wd and now have an AWD. Both have been black. The V8 is a must. As you can see I'm a repeat offender and I LOVE my STA.

I have a '01 ST bought in Sept. 2000, my son has a '05 ST XLT bought in Jul '06, but when I discovered the '10 was the last STA I bought one [black] of the last ones in Jan. 2011 I see a few other STA around here in Nashville, a red one & a blue one in particular from time to time.

BTW: I just returned from the Snowball Derby in Pensacola & didn't see another one in the 4 days or 1,136 miles.

well, I found some brochure's for 08, 09, & 10. I got the various colors they came in...man that White Suede in 09 is sweet. Pretty much figured out the trim level, and what options vs standard eqpt for the packages. Looks like the 08 5.4 is just down a few HP from the 09-10. Still gotta get more info about the 6 speed slush box...not a big fan of automatics, my current ST is a stick.

Currently there are 4 on autotrader, 2 black...2 red. there WAS an 08 in Mo. with 2500, yes 2500 miles on it-SOLD. The nearest one to me is 170 miles away. Currently contacting all local Ford dealers to let them know I'm looking.

I still would very much like to find a window sticker, to see what the Adrenalin option package cost...as well as what ballpark msrp was.

Based on what asking prices are for these 3-4 year old examples-mileage39-66K, they must have been expensive.

thanks for the comments...keep em coming

of course, if I do find one...then I gotta figure out lowering springs, some kinda exhaust, probably a flash for the engine/tranny too.

I'm having trouble getting the duplicate window sticker from the Ford website. The 2008 Adrenalin option package was $2995 - trim and wheels. MSRP on my Trac was $34K. I found it six months ago at CarMax, 17K on the odo. Their price was definitely fat, but they don't negotiate. I'm happy with the purchase because it's sharp looking and meets my needs exactly.

no factory 5.4V8 - sorry

on cars.com there are a dozen or so - might find more on trader but its harder too look - the dealer that spends the most money gets first look so the right one might be buried at a dealer that can't blow 10K per month in marketing

Joe Mag, I'm curious as to where you found a ST brochure for the '10? I was only able to print off a copy from Ford, I wasn't able to find the dealer brochure for my '10 STA.

I had the same problem as the OP. Saw one and had to have one. I went to MA to buy one and shipped it to AZ.

Expect to pay Retail Book for it. It didn't help that about a dozen guys stopped to look at it while I was traveling to go look at it (I had it on hold).

Interiors are all "all Charcoal" although it is nearly black.

Drives great, rides way better than the 01 I have, V8 doesn't work as hard, much less wind noise from the cab (No rails on top) but the window seals could be of better design.

I've had a few minor issues with it, but at 62K miles, I expected that. Get the Ford "Wrap" warranty.

Overall a better truck than the 01, but quality not as good. I liked the old interior better too.

google search for 2010 brochure...link below

I used autotrader, cars.com, and CL nationwide...and found about 12 total. All but two are at dealers, 08 is the biggest model year-1 09, 2 10's. The best deal out there is a 2010 in Ak, but not a fan of the silver. Considering driving 190 miles to look at the closest one in Ct tomorrow or Friday. An 08 with 2500 miles in Mo. sold fast, likewise a 2010 with 16K miles in NJ. Everything left is 25-66K miles. They are all bringing STRONG money. That one in NJ sold for $10K above KBB trade in allowance...according to another dealer I talked to. Honestly, it was just a few grand below what it cost new....crazy IMHO. I'm still trying to determine a few things, but really gotta look at one in person, and get a test drive to establish a firm must have attitude.

A follow up question...did any 08's come with heated seats, was it standard on 09-10 MY's or an option? I understand it to be standard in the final two years with the Adrenalin pkg.

thanks all...please keep the comments coming

IMO, the Gen2 Adrenalins are not "collector" cars like we see at Barrett-Jackson, etc. However, it's a relatively rare Ford model in an ocean of F150s. So one in good shape is going to be harder to find; expect to wince at the price but be ready to buy if you really want one. Good luck - we'll be looking for the pic!

also called about two dozen Ford dealers within a 100 mile radius today. Just gave what I was looking for, with contact info to the sales managers. A couple were knowledgable of the STA, even sold a couple back in the day.

One told me that they were gonna talk to their wholesaler and get North East auction info on the truck. He also said that ST's in general pull good money.

Ford cancelled the production because the F150 team felt the ST encroached on their sales. Internal competition and the F150 won out. At least that was what I read at the time. Ford needed to streamline it's vehicle production and the ST was only 14,000 a year production. I think the last year (2010) it fell to 10,000. No wonder, Ford never marketed the vehicle, they never had much inventory and never stocked the STA in dealers. Many of the dealers never knew about the STA unless you educated them and got them to print out the spec sheet/order form from the factory. So, in my opinion Ford felt they could get ST owners or those looking in that space to buy the F150 model since it has an insane number of models. It's so complicated looking at all the models and the pricing is ridiculous. So, we all await an option for small pickup trucks from a US manufacturer. Wish Ford would wake up to the need. F150 won't cut it for me.
