ST Gen1 tonneau cover

I just got a used Ford hard tonneau cover(bi-fold) and the locks "insecure" and not tight . What makes them tight on the cover? Only one of the two locks have and small 3"-4" metal bracket on it to secure it down. Should both locks have one???? Perhaps someone can take pictures of the locks on the underside. Maybe I need parts!

Based on your description it sounds like you need additional brackets/strikers to properly secure it on all four sides. You should have one bracket/striker on each corner of the bed/cover. These little bracket are rare to find for sale. Sometime you might find them at your local salvage yard. Ford carries them for about 27 each. You can also get them through or site sponsor for about 22 each.

no no I am talking about holding the locks in place-tight. the cover sits in the strikers/brackets securely.
