I need access to the C218A connector in the steering column. I'm told it is the clockspring connector. Anybody know how to remove the column panels to get to it?

2010 Sport Trac.

Don't have info for the 2008-10 STA, hope the 2007 is similar. Please be careful working around the air bag, let me know if you need more diagrams and when I can remove this pdf.

Thanks,

I copied the PDF, so you can remove it if you want to.

Looks like there are three screws holding the lower steering column shroud in place. Once the screws are removed, do you think it will just pull free?

Appreciate the help,

Rich

Got the bottom steering column shroud off easy enough, but the top one wouldn't come free. Can you offer some advice? Thanks, working on it now, I have some type of short in the steering column which sometimes "clicks" really fast even after shutting down and removing the key. It drained my battery overnight, had to buy a new one.

Can you post the pdf or send it to me via email?

Thanks.
