I recently got the news that my spark plugs were frozen and could not be removed without removing the heads. This is because I havent had it serviced for 40k miles and as a result the plugs were not removed and lubricated. Does this make sense to you guys? It is going to end up costing me arround $2000 to get this problem fixed.

Opinions needed.

At what mileage does the owners manual say to change the plugs?

Sounds like the person who did the last tune up, OR the people doing it now striped out the heads, or did not put anti-seize on the plugs...

Who did the last plug change??? Sounds like their to blame here..

Fred every 100K....

Not for me... Changed my first set at 30K...

I did mine around 40K. They were stuck on good.

I let the engine cool until it was warm to the touch, sprayed some liquid wrench or pb blaster on each plug, went off and had a beer, came back in 20 minutes.

It took some "gentle coaxing" on the ratchet, but they came loose easily enough.
