Sub Woofer ?

Good Day All, I noticed in my 2002 Sport Trac, there is a Sub Woofer and Amp behind the Driver side rear seat, (part of the factory stereo upgrade package I ordered with my truck). I just installed a new stereo in my 2005 Sport trac. It has a an RCA output jack for a sub woofer, and also a power to external amp wire. I was just planning to buy a sub woofer speaker and install it (Easiest). Is an amp required? If so, I can move the sub woofer and amp from the 2002 to 2005 if that is a better way to go? Your thoughts greatly appreciated.

yes the radio RCA can not power a speaker... need an amp.

Hi Todd, since you own 2 Adrenalin Sport Trac's, maybe you or someone else can let me know....... (Assuming the speaker mounting size is the same.) Are the "Adrenalin" speakers in my 2002 worth switching into my 2005? Is quality worth the swap?

02 to 05 is the same.... no difference unless the speaker is bad.... I have 1 gen 2 adrenalin 2010 and 1 XLT clone..

Thanks Todd ! Since the speakers are the same, I'll just move over the rear amp and sub woofer and call it good!
