SVT

Did Ford make any SVT models prior to 2007 for the Sport Trac? I recently purchased a 2001 and it has a SVT badge on it, but my guess is that its just an bagde that someone got from a dealer and placed it on the Trac. Anyone have any idea?

Your guess would be correct. There has been no SVT model thus far and at least at this stage there will be none in the future since ford did away with the SVT team.

I'm not 100% sure I'm correct, but I think the only SVT models were the Mustang Cobra, Lightning pickup, Contour SVT, and maybe a Focus model.

So whats the easiest way to tune up my Trac? I have seen posts on K&N FIPK Air Intakes and chips? do they really work?

Talk to Wayne Foy at Hypnotic Illusions, he does custom SCT XCalibrator 2 tunes for most Fords, he specializes in the Sport Trac and Focus.
