tail light?!?!

:angry:My drivers side taillight is out. I changed the bulb, thinking it was fixed.iI hit my directional i get three regular blinks then it blinks fast? changed the bulb twice. ITS STILL OUT! I'm hope'n its not a short somewhere. Any idea's
 
Check the front bulb??... ALSO there is a common problem with the wiring in the steering colum.. TILT the wheel a little down or up and see if that fixes it???

Ok, the trick is to NEVER move it again....



Just kidding. There is a TSB on this. If you have any coverage left Ford will fix it for free.
 
That should be a Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (MVSS) item. I would go back to

the dealer, even if out of warranty, and tell them you feel that this condition

may or will cause an accident, and TELL them you want it fixed at no charge to

you, as they are aware that they have a problem with this. OR, inform them

that you will contact NHTSA about this problem and file a formal complaint.

It basically boils down to an engineering issue on a safety item (lighting,

signals, etc...) where the vehicle was improperly designed in relation to this

problem. The Government and NHTSA have ruled almost exclusively in favor of the

consumers on this issue.
