The world's first fully computerized airliner was ready for its maiden flight without pilots or crew. The plane taxied to the loading area automatically, its doors opened automatically, the steps came out automatically. The passengers boarded the plane and took their seats.

The steps retreated automatically, the doors closed, and the airplane taxied toward the runway.

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen," a voice intoned. "Welcome to the debut of the world's first fully computerized airliner. Everything on this aircraft is run electronically. Just sit back and relax. Nothing can go wrong ... Nothing can go wrong... nothing can go wrong...."

I heard that planes are so computerized that many airlines are flying with dogs as co-pilots. Why? to bite the pilot if he touches anything!

With pilots and air traffic controllers sleeping on the job, what's the difference?

Yet you all still want your $69 round the world first class seat on a 380. The airlines aren't passing the cost to you, like the rest of the industries out there, they are taking it from the employees. You have First Officers, making $16,000 a year..... To fly you safely.... Because your captain is asleep. Nobody thinks about that. Flying should NEVER be cheaper than driving. You may think an automated plane is a joke, but you know damn well if it is cheaper, without a pilot in the seat up front, you'll do it. The air traffic controllers sleeping, not a huge deal. Yet.... Their duty and rest rules changed within a week, actually 72 hours... YET!!! The last fatigue crash was the colgan crash in buffalo. People demanded immediate change. Pilots needed more rest!! This was two years ago, maybe more.. Why hasn't anything been changed? Simple.... Money.. The airlines were put in control of the changes... Like asking the crackheads to police the crack house..... Not gonna work, because that takes money out of their pockets... God forbid they pass it on to the whine filled consumer.. Have a nice flight... You are getting what you are paying for!!!! Hope u make it alive...
