Nicer weather than Oak Harbor for sure, but it's been pretty overcast lately. June gloom is supposed to end in June....
We've pasted by it but haven't stopped in yet, it's actually just around the corner from us since the place we moved into is only 1.5 miles from base.
We're headed to the Point Mugu airshow this weekend, it's the Thunderbirds instead of the Blue Angels though this year.....

Have fun at the air show, post lots of pictures. The BLue Angels are the best, the Thunderbirds are good too. I grew up on south M street, two blocks from the base.
I worked on base during High School at the Mini Mart. A small Convenience store on base.
Looks like it's not there anymore.
The Pool had two Olympic size pools, looks like they closed one of them as well.
The gym was pretty nice, I bet it's state of the art nowadays.
The back side of the base, they used to bring in the RX-7's, when they first came out.
Acres and acres of RX-7's 1979...wow I'm old...LOL!
Have fun in the area...The beaches used to be nice...Make a trip to Lake Sherwood,
It was a beautiful lake, we used to fish there, we'd pass by Dean Martins House.
Cruise around Malibu and Pepperdine University. Around Pt Mugu there used to be a place across the beach, a real high sand hill, we used to slide down it. also headed toward hollywood beach? The marinas houses were just being built, Johnny Carson used to live there.
Alot of Celebrities lived in and around the area, alot in Ojai...
And let me know how the Ronald Reagan Library is in Simi Valley.
They have a 747 in there.
