How do I know if My V6 2005 Sorts Trac has a factory Towing Package ?

well it should have the wiring at the very least. (a four flat plug) I am unsure of what else is included.

This is an easy answer. There was never a towing package on the 2001 to 2005 Sport Trac.



So, you do not have a towing package.

hmmm, I do have a wiring harness, I do not have receiving hitch, only the bumper mounted ball. But it is def a 2005.

As I said, there was never a towing package. All Sport Trac's came with a 4 wire connector.



You do not have something that does not exist.

All gen1 tracs can tow the same weight, as they have all the stuff needed from the factory to tow the rated weight (5200-4x4/5500-4x2 IIRC) such as tranny and p/s coolers, just add hitch, brake controller and go...:supercool:



i would reccomend an auxillary tranny cooler if towing near the limit, as i have had my fluid smoking before.. I change it every season...
