So... I just changed, (not flushed), my old transmission fluid today. I read the manual to see how many quarts of fluid is needed, and it said 10 quarts. By the time I got to the 6th bottle, it started to overflow. Confused, I then did some more research and learned that the 10 quarts is needed if you were doing a flush, not a change. So... If it overflows, is that bad? I noticed right next to the transmission pan is a "spout" where the excess transmission fluid spilled. Is that what it's meant for? For excess transmission fluid? Do I need to have the fluid pumped out of the transmission?
