Ford's newest diesel with the urea tank injection seems like a huge pain in the ass to deal with. If you gotta have a diesel, you need a Ram 2500.

Les - I assume that it's somehow programed to the vehicle's entry system. Do you know if it works with other mfgrs - Like GM or Dodge?

Have no idea, but I would think if the other manufacturers don't offer it, someone else should. Maybe LaRue knows...
