How many were offered? I can't imagine driving anything other than the 4.0L, but even that falls short most of the time. Its the only real gripe I have with this truck.

Mines not. But, I do have the 4:10's and it goes off the line. I can smoke the tires anytime I want, but why?

They are trucks, not race cars............... (Excluding the Adrenalin in this comment )

Larger throttle body if they're still available, underdrive pulleys, cat-back exhaust, and a cold air or K&N drop-in. XCal tuner. That's about it.

My exhaust is supposed to give 8 hp, it feels like it.

I've never felt like mine was underpowered with the 4.10 gears, even with 32" tires. Of course, I rarely get it over 45 mph or 2k rpm. I didn't buy it for hauling (weight or ass).

I have a 2007 4.0 V6 with 77K & did 4 things that netted 30hp & up to 24mph on the highway worst city mileage 17mpg. K&N air filter, Pulstar Plugs - check these out at - http://www.pulstar.com/Main/PULSTAR-Home.asp?P=1

I have tried many products over the years but Duralube with the 0-15 Mobil 1 synthetic was the icing on the cake. I also went to a company Jet Performance and purchased their CPU

programmer - when hooked up to your vehicle (under the dash) it transfers your stock programming into a memory and then you reprogram for: 30hp needs premium gas,

27hp midgrade (my choice), 5hp regular. You can change top speed, shift aspects

and top rpm (+100). The plugs, air filter I gave a conservative 3hp. The Jet Performance

programmer a noticeable immediate 27hp and dramatically helped (still needs work)

the transmission shifts. Duralube added to Mobil 1 finally gave me a 24mpg highway (65-75 mph) and 17-20mpg in city (when I have to be there).
