sweeeeet, i wanna get a cutout for my truck, but dont know where to get one or how much it would cost... why does it look like he is shoothing water out of the exhaust when he revs it, is it just running really rich or something?

Graham,

Exhaust cut outs are cool, But many fail due to excessive heat and the motors burn out quickly...

The water you see is part of complete combustion...... Normal..

DMH makes one of, if not the highest quality unit out there. I had one on my truck. It did burn up but then again, I bought it used so the previous owner probably didn't operate it correctly and knew he needed to unload it soon.

I would buy one again.

So, other than sound, does it give that much of a performance boost? If so, why hasn't anyone thought of ceramics and a blackbox type of cooler for the electronics?

You actually loose serious Torque..... Only on a motor tuned for free flow like that, there is nothing to gain but Sound..

I watched a neighbor of mine install a cutout on his F150. When he was done, he took it out for a test drive. The cops nailed him 200 feet from his driveway. $349 in fines and five-day fix-it ticket.:lol::lol:
