Yes, it is also very windy here in Texas today. I just thought someone in California left the back door open.



It has actually been a nice change of pace here since the temp got close to 100 again. A nice brisk breeze tempers the oven effect.

We're pretty safe as we live near what used to be Mather AFB, which is now Mather Air Field.

35-40 mph is a typical Spring day here in Oklahoma...60+ mph while a weather front passes through is not unusual.

Nelson, There was no weather front moving through, just high winds. Also, I think that we just got an early signal from mother nature for an early end of summer.



edit: For clarification there was no storm (i.e. clouds, rain, etc.) going through is what I meant by weather; there was just high winds.

There WAS a low pressure front moving across Kollyfornya into the Great Basin of Nevada, and the pressure gradient between it and the high pressure front over the state is what causes the high winds.
