I've seen a lot more Nissan Frontier commercials. I think they smell blood in the water. With no competition from Ford, Chevy, Dodge and now Honda, they stand to get a bigger piece of the sales pie in that segment.

I've been looking at them...

I have friends who work at BEAU TOWNSEND FORD less than 30 miles away. Next door they have a NISSAN franchise. Guess what I will buy if Ford has nothing to offer when time to trade ? I plan on driving my 2007 Trac with 67000 + miles a long time. However if it would be wrecked or stolen then the Frontier would be my choice.

Ford, I owned an Aerostar and two Windstars. Wanted another Ford Van and you abandoned me so am now driving a VW VAN made by Chrysler. Still would rather have a Ford!

Please don't let me and a lot of others down by abandoning the compact truck market. Love your F-150's but too big and wouldn't fit in my garage. What a great time to get creative in mid size truck market with fuel efficent offerings ! IMO

Yup, an EcoBoost four door Ranger would have been awesome. Oh well.

When the time comes, I'll stand by Ford and get the hot rod Edge, if nothing is available. I am kinda intrigued by the Chevy Colorado with the 350 V8. Who knows. Bob

I've looked at the Frontier as a possible future replacement for my Gen 1 Trac (if I can't find a decent used Gen 2 V8 Trac). I thought it was good truck, and would buy one in a heartbeat except for one deal-killing fault: The straight up back seat. It's uncomfortable as hell. Even though I would probably never ride back there, I wouldn't want my son to have to ride in such a rigid, uncomfortable seat.

So if I can't find a Gen 2 Trac, like Bob C., I'll probably buy an Edge.

Bob,

I was not aware that the Colorado came with a V8 option.. I too was intrigued so I went to look at the site. The V8 is only available in 2WD per the Chevy site. When I got my ST I swore I would never own another 2WD truck. 4WD, while more costly to repair and maintain is just so much better here in the midwest. (Getting from A-B in Snow, Sleet, etc.. is a must for me)

If the Colorado V8 was available in 4WD, it would be a strong contender when I replace my ST.

Not me. I don't care how good the vehicle is, or if it's the only choice, I'll never, ever purchase or own another vehicle from Government Motors again.:soap:

I test drove a Canyon before buying the ST. It gave me the same feeling I got when I drove a Geo Metro my buddy had as a rental in high school. Just felt cheap all around.
