Recently had my 2004 Adrenalin Sport Trac broken into. They stole not just the special 500 watt stereo that comes with the Adrenalin, but they ripped the entire center of the dash out. In it were the two center vents, 4 wheel drive switch, the rear-window switch and the trim around all of it. The heater & AC control were left in tact.

My interio was charcoal, so if anybody has these parts to salvage, please reply. I'm fine without the stereo, but the interior components aren't so easy to come by without finding exactly what I need at a salvage.

anthony that is exactly what my 04 looked like when it got broken in too. only they ripped the radio out and threw the broken/bent bezel on the floor. they also got my 2007 memphis 500d m class and two m class 2007 10's and my custom fiberglass box i worked on all summer. insurance fixed the dash and bezel for me. and gave me $1000 for the stereo equipment

Hey Anthony,

I have 2005 Adrenalin that I replaced the stock radio with a Pioneer AVIC-D2. I was going to keep the radio to swap out if I ever got rid of the truck, but I realized it wouldnt do me much good because I had to bore out the bezel to fit a double-dinn. The radio is in NJ, make me an offer, the radio was barely used and was only in the truck for a little over a year. I'm not sure if you know this , but they actually did not get the 500Watt stereo that came with the truck (unless they stole the amp from behind your left rear seat). In other words, that radio is pretty useless to someone who does not have a ford with an external amplifier because the outputs on that head unit cannot drive a speaker. Also, it won't fit in a double-dinn (it's a bit too small), so wherever that radio ends up, it will likely be in a ford. Anyway, let me know if you're interested.

Thanks,

-Shawn

Well, I got a bezel with buttons and all. Looks like I may be in need fo the white slider that holds the stereo to the track.

Shawn, your offer is tempting. I've kinda gotten interested in FH-P800BT though. It's nice to hear that you can bore out the bezel a little to fit the double dinn. Your post has me wondering if the existing amp behind the seat is going to work now. I'll have to do some looking and figuring out. I'm willing to consider your stereo if you are needing to get rid of it but what do you want for it? Going factory doesn't make too much sense because I have to go to all this trouble anyways. What model was in the 2005?

Anthony,

I really don't know how much to ask for this thing. I see similar Ford radios on ebay going for like $200 + shipping. I mean if you wanted to give me $100 shipped, I'd be fine with that, or make me a reasonable offer. I'm pretty sure the same radio came in all the Adrenalins it was the pioneer with the knob in the middle and it was a 6-CD changer as well and it reads mp3 cds which was a feature I liked about it, but I had to have navigation so I swapped in the AVIC D-2. If you're willing to spend that much on that pioneer radio, I'd just go all the way and get navi (or rather BUY MY ADRENALIN STOCK RADIO! :D ). I don't see why the amp would not work now (I'm using the stock amp with my AVIC D-2), and there's plenty of power in that, my only gripe with the setup in our truck is that the amp powers all the speakers (there is no separate amp for the sub woofer). Looks like they snipped the end off your harness....that might be a pain to replace. If for some reason you do go aftermarket and you do use the stock amp, you're going to have to use the RCA preouts on the aftermarket head unit (so you might have to stop by radio shack and buy some rca connectors to solder on to your harness), otherwise you will be sending a powered signal to your amp which will make it quite angry. That is what I had to do with mine, and I'm pretty sure the wiring in the 2004 Adrenalin was the same as the 2005. Anyway, let me know if you're interested, or if you want some input on aftermarket radio installation. I don't frequent the site as much as I should, but if you email me at [email protected] that is the quickest way to get my attention.

Thanks,

-Shawn

Anthony,

If you don't already have one, I suggest you pick up a 2004 Wiring Manual, and possibly a 2004 Sport Trac Shop Manual on eBay. It's fairly inexpensive, and will be a big help in putting your system back together. I have both the Wiring and full Shop Manual for my 2004 Sport Trac Adrenalin, and they were well worth the money. I've used them many times during maintenance and modifications.
