replaced alternator, bled the brakes, rotated tires. Still running beautifully except for the weird charging issues, saw them the day after replacing alternator but have not seen again for a week or so.
 
I installed a new radio with wireless Apple Car Play and a hard wired backup camera. Think best thing to share though is after spending a couple of hours barely squeezing under my Gen2 V8 4x4 was I found a rubber grommet under the front passenger seat to push wire up into the cab. Since I was pulling the RCA cable to the cab, I also pulled a little speaker into the cab and mounted four of the backup sensors that beep when I get too close to something.
My 2004 had a rubber grommet on the driver side storage compartment behind the rear seat that I poked a hole through to run the rear view camera wire. I ran the wire from the front to back and spliced into the left rear backup light wire for power to the camera.
 
I'd love to see a bit of a write-up on the backup camera and sensors. Photos, brand, etc.

Finished installing my remote digital speedometer display, top of speedo shroud. Not obvious here, but factory speedometer is difficult to read during day driving. The “normal” 10-12% speed-off-calibration noted here.

Actually used the cargo tie downs for the 1st time last week....lined up with cargo bag perfectly...View attachment 5467
I first used the tie downs about 5 years ago. A queen size mattress in the cardboard box fits nicely on top of the bed cover.
 
I installed a new shift motor from Amazon and have now got 4 wheel drive again. The hubs seem OK but from what I've read on the forum, I I'll be replacing them soon. Have to replace the parking brakes and hardware and rust convert and paint the rear dust shields which are still in fairly good shape. The rear diff is still hanging in there since I drilled and tapped it so I could change the fluid in the 410. It's still noisy but much quieter than before.

I unplugged the switch for the heated seat in my '04. I think some current was getting through the switch to the seatback heater. It was hard to tell if it was actually the heater since it was 96 and 99 degrees with heat indexes of 110+ and the sun shining on me a couple of days last week. I was convinced when it was in the low-80s and the seatback felt hot when driving, but not during the 15-20 minutes I sat in the truck when it wasn't running. Haven't noticed it since unplugging the switch.
 
Well not quite today but very recently. Fixed the overhead console display for probably the fourth time in 23 years I've owned my Gen 1 ST. Also replaced 2 Door Striker Bushings that had finally worn out. I was going to make new ones from some PEX Tubing but the OD was a little large and not having a lathe, just bought the Dorman ones from Amazon and used the Bushings from them. I'm glad to say they were an exact fit. The doors close like new. I also had the Driver's Seat bottom cushion rebuilt since I could not find a replacement. That's the second time I've done that. Then the most depressing item was in the 23 years I've owned it, I never put even a small dent in it and about a month ago, I backed into a stone mail box structure, scratched the Bumper Cover and broke the plastic reinforcing bar. It also put a deep scratch in the fender below the Taillight. Quotes to fix it are all over the place. Almost no one wanted to use wrecking yard parts so the cost is very high. I'm looking for the parts now but that was depressing to say the least. Other than that it still runs great and with 215,000 miles uses absolutely no oil, original transmission, starts every time and idles rock solid. The Bumper fiasco was a real bummer!!
How did you rebuild the driver’s bottom seat cushion? I’m thinking about making a trip to the pick and pull but maybe not?

My wife arranged to have it rebuilt by a local upholstery shop. It was fine at first but it's now beginning to sink some again, but since I couldn't find a Ford replacement that was the only choice. I can't believe they didn't use the same cushion on a different model.
 
Do you have a upholstery shop near you?? If so they could probably make you a new cushion. PLUS, it would be cleaner than a cushion out of a salvage yard. Just my $0.02

I think why mine is failing again is the factory cushion is molded and the repair was done with pieces and they are likely moving around.
