I have a Sears Craftsman riding lawn mower. It is 18hp with a 44 inch cutting deck. It also has a snow plow. Over-all it is in well above condition. The only damage is where a ball hit the headlamp cover and I simply did not replace the cover. Comes with 2 sets (6 total) blade. It has tire weights and chains right now but I think I will be keeping them for the new tractor I bought. It is 10 or 11 years old and runs perfectly. You turn the key and it starts. The battery is 2 years old.

So what do you think???

Here is a picture of the general style of it. Mine is newer than this and has the 6 speed shifter on the right side. Not in the center as this picture shows.

Does "she" think your tractor is sexy ??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA :lol::lol:

I checked Ebay for a similar model, but they all appear to be newer. There is a 2003 with a 42" deck that is going for $750. I think that this link is to your auction, if not then it's nearly identical to the details :D. It has a 18 hp motor, 44" cutting deck, and a snow plow for $500. It also lists some spare parts from another tractor in the auction. If that's your auction, then I think that's a very reasonable price.

It all depends on what you want out of it. There are people out there willing to pay $500 for a used tractor. Honestly, I would be happy to get $300. If it was a Cub Cadet you could sell it for a hell of alot more. Craftsman mowers are made very well, but the resale sucks. Get what you can get but I wouldn't go less than $300.;)

With the plow I was looking at $600 ish. The local papers have the same type going for 7 to 8 hundred by me.

I bought a new one to get into a 4 cycle engine. Ever since the explosion I was in, my ears hurt from certain frequencies and continual vibrations. The 4 cycle engine eliminates both of those issues.

It runs perfect, just bought the new one for me is all...

I just sold a 2001 Toro/WheelHorse tractor for $1800 a few weeks ago. It was average condition, 18hp V-twin Kohler Command Pro, Hydrostat transmission, 42" mower deck, 130 fairly hard hours. I thought I did very well at $1800.

Replaced it with a GX255 John Deere garden tractor. I think I like driving the JD even more than the SportTrac!

That Craftsman has 2 stroke engine? Are you sure? I am not calling you a liar or anything, but a two stroke?

Tom

My bad, just a Little typo from what I meant to say.

It is a 4 stroke as well as the new one. I bought a v-block engine as they run smoother and quieter. That is what I was trying to get across... Opps... LOL
