i never heard bout one either, so does this mean, the start of it?!?! ill take a fancy sticker on the top portion of my windshield to promote Mysporttrac.com and two of those ST certfied license plates, for the state of Maryland, that states im part of the Sport Trac Org. Could be a good starting program here....

Funny that this is brought up. I was thinking about this the other day; but then I thought that there is not much more that you can do than what is done here. I think that it would be neat to have merchandise; but as for the other perks of clubs (group buys, memeber forums, Trac of the Week, etc) there is not much else to add. We have it all here.

the donations gained from the mysporttrac.com sticker and donations from the Org plates, could come in handy for merchandise and to help costs on this site, if there is any. Not to turn this site into a business, but into a family. Those donations could help out with further upgrades to the site and could get the word out that ST's r here and need more aftermarket parts available, and might bring in more sponsors.

Hi all,

Steve about a two months ago I posted a Middelsex county/New Jersey ST club.

The only ones that responded was yourself and 2 other Members for a total of 4 people.

Didn't think it was worth trying to get it off the ground and was thinking about re-posting this Spring.

There is a whole process that has to be followed to have a legit on the books car club, president, meetings, Fund, Lists, Shows etc.

I did that with my Mustang II club, It was hard to do a national club, Maybe local chapters like

N/E , N/W Central S/E and S/W ???

And of course a first check with Mr. Rich to make sure we can use his site for it as well ???

Well, this posting had 2 purposes. One was to find out what had happened, (thank you Pete 03) and also to get people interested in it. I agree that it might be better to have smaller regional groups, under the larger national club. And of course before we got started I was going to email Rich. I just wanted to see the interest before contacting him. (Rich expect and email from me shortly). Please email me if you are interested.

Steve,

If your serious and we can do it, I know a CPA here that can help us out with the legal end of this stuff....

I've been in a car club for close to 3 years now. I've considered this more like a group of friends with the same truck lol.

I consider it an enthusiasts group, not really a car club.

Todd- Hey can you possibly email me the legal needs for a car club, im trying to get one together. thanks in advanced.

My position has been and continues to be:

If folks on this site want to organize a formal club, I'll support that effort with appropriate resources from the web site: Dedicated message categories, a page for club info, etc. However, the site itself will remain separate from the club, as it is a part of my company (ZJS Technology, Inc).
