I laugh any time someone says "man is responcible for global warming".... it brings up my core body temperature so I can feel like I am doing my part to help heat the earth.
I have begun to change out light bulbs to the micro-flouresent type. Not for energy sake but because they last longer than the standard bulbs and they are only a little bit more upfront.
I still burn alot of my own trash, especially credit card apps and security-sensative information (you know, especially those that are NCR type forms.... they give off such a beautiful black smoke). What do I use to start my bonfire? Yep.... GAS.
I mow my yard upto 2x a week during the summer
But like others have said.... I save power anytime AlGore is on TV by either turning it off or smashing it to bits. Course, the CFC's in the picture tube sure help to off-set my savings.
I'm thinking about getting into the Carbon Offset business. If you want to pay me to stop burning styrofoam, you can send your payments my direction. On the other hand, if you live in Buffalo, NY and are sick of seeing snow taller than your roof, you can send payments and I'll be glad to increase my rate of burning.
