I was talking to my brother recently and he mentioned he had to replace the driveshaft bearings on his F-150 at around 115K.

Just wondering what the collective experience is in the case of the Sport Tracs driveshaft bearings. Anybody change these lately?

Looks like a fairly easy job.

Are you referring to the carrier bearing or the u-joints? Regardless, how long either one lasts depends on a lot of variables. I have trucks that come into the shop that have 200,000 + miles on them and have never had to replace either.

This is not something you just normally replace. Normally you wait for noise or issue..
