And TRUCKS they were.

This was my unrestored 53 F250 factory flatbed.

Kind of left me with a soft spot for flatbeds. I'm contemplating a Super Cab Ranger to put a flat bed on now. Wonder what a Gen 1 with a flat bed would look like..........4x4, slightly lifted .........:grin::grin:

Old cars and trucks are proof that people used to be smaller. Bud of mine used to have a '49 Chevy pickup on a '79 Chevy 4x4 chassis. I could barely fit in the thing. ("Can you push the seat back a little bit?" "It IS all the way back.") He was about 5'8" so it wasn't a problem for him.

His truck also had an old Chevy 409 engine in it and rolled on 36's. Kinda unnerving being in something that old, that high, and that fast.
