I noticed that someone on an earlier post had success locating a nextel phone, so I figured I'd take a shot. Two days ago my Motorola T720 crapped out and is no longer useable. I was wondering if anyone had an old, useable, Verizon phone that they'd sell for a decent price. I cannot afford a retail priced phone because I just bought a house in Orlando, FL and am on the verge of poor, lol. I just need something to get me through 'till January, when I'm due for an upgrade. I'd prefer not to pay more than $50 (including shipping). I'd also prefer a flip-phone, but right now, any phone will work. I am not concerned about condition as long as it works and the actual screen is not cracked. Color and/or camera is not a concern.

I am happy to accomodate any payment options (paypal, money order, cash, etc.). If any of you have an old phone laying around and want to sell it, I'd be happy to buy.

I do have a trade option as well if someone has a very nice phone (i.e. color screen, preferably picture capability) they no longer use. I have an ipaq h1910 PDA that I am considering selling and would be willing to trade instead. It is in excellent condition with extras (docking cradle, usb sync cable, leather case). It retails for $300 (not including extras), obviously being used I do not expect that, but it is an perfect shape. Click the link below for information on it.

Thanks in advance!

Jenn, the obvious first. Ebay seems to have a pretty large selection so you may want to start there. <a href="http://listings.ebay.com/_W0QQa10244ZQ2d24QQa25662Z25630QQa25664ZQ2d24QQa35ZQ2d24QQalistZa25664Q2ca25662Q2ca35Q2ca10244Q2ca3801QQcatrefZC6QQcoactionZcompareQQcoentrypageZsearchQQcopagenumZ1QQfromZR2QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ3QQftrtZ1QQftrvZ1QQgcsZ1440QQpf_queryZQQpfidZ1720QQpfmodeZ1QQreqtypeZ2QQsacatZQ2d100QQsaprchiZQQsaprcloZQQsatitleZQQsocmdZListingItemList"target=top>Here's</a> the link to the verizon compatibles starting with the lowest price first. They are well within your desired budget.

Thanks Spiff,

I've tried the ebay market for my last two phones and to be honest, neither one lasted me more than 6 months. I would honestly trust someone at this site more than some guy (or gal) on ebay. For example, this T720 that crapped out....bought it from a guy on ebay. It was his wife's phone and he explained that she just didn't like it. It had no problems as far he knew. I got the phone, it was unlocked as he said...but the dang thing is a PITA. No wonder his wife didn't like it. It charges only when it wants to, shuts off when it wants to and now the network will not work. Simply "no service". I can either pay to have it fixed, or buy a new one and probably have no problems. Regardless, I may have to just suck it up and go with ebay and hope it's unlocked and in good working order, but I know most people here would be honest. It's the ST way of life....hahahaha

Thanks again,

Jenn

Jenn,

If only you were a day sooner. I gave my old T720 to my father after he dropped and broke his just yesterday. It was a great phone and had the extended battery.

misterg,

I really appreciate your offer. However, I couldn't wait any longer for a phone. I missed too many important calls and even missed the roofers who needed to get ahold of me to pull a permit for my new roof. Now, my new roof got pushed back a few weeks because of it. Lord only knows what else I missed (I don't have a land line). So I actually went and talked to Verizon today to get a new one. The service manager was awesome and actually advanced me my upgrade and I got an LG VX5200 for free. I truly, truly appreciate it though. Thanks.
