I replaced the original 235/65/R18 Michelins on my 07 Limited 4x4 V8 with 265/65/R18 BGFs. My salesman initially told me their service department would be able to adjust the computer to correct the speedometer for the increase in tire diameter. When I picked the truck up he informed me that they were not able to do this. Is he full of crap and could this be done with an Xcal2 or other aftermarket tuner? Although I haven't checked it against mile markers yet the speedometer/odometer does seem to be pretty accurate and the truck drives and shifts without any issues.

i replaced my stock tires on a 01 with 31x10.5x15 inch tires and the speedo didnt need recalibration....it might be fine.

but to answer your question yes the xcal2 can help with the speedo.

It's not a neccesary step to take. KAM is erased during a reflash so all learned corrections are wiped out as well.
