I live in Alberta Canada where there are no smog laws or anything and i am planning on getting my dual flowmasters installed when my body lift is done. My question is:

What would give me the best performance result:

removing the cat?

adding WFOY Y-Pipe?

or both?

Environmental issues aside, doing both is going to kill your low end and the trac will be pretty sluggish of the line, but will increase top end. There are actually four cats, one on each fork in the stock Y-pipe, and two on the main cat. The initial 3 are pre-cats that I believe aid in heating up the main cat. Whatever you decide to do, your going to lose a bit of low end due to the increased flow but this will be made up for in the high end. Why don't you try the Y-pipe first and see if you like the gains. Based on that you can decide what you want to do about the main cat.

Second on what ed said...
