I’m finding that my driver’s side window does not always continue closing Ala auto. I this a switch issue or is there another component that takes over when you hold the switch?
I replaced mine along with the thermostat. The thermostat that came with the housing, as an assembly, was a higher temp thermostat. Watch out for that if you replace the thermostat too.
If you’re not set up to do the work yourself, like me. You can drop $2100 at your local dealer and they will change out the bearing and the driveshafts as they sell it as an assembly. If I had a place to do it, I would have definitely gone with just the bearing change
Well, got my truck back after two days at the dealer and the non-discounted price of $2100 for the replacement of the shaft and bearing due to it being in an “assembly “. I would venture to guess that ford just stopped selling these parts publicly in order for them to be the sole source for...
Got an appt at ford Monday. I went through a bunch of trouble trying to get the computer fixed outside of ford. Couldn’t even get a replacement from ford. Then I took it to ford and they fixed me up in two days. I think it’s worth a try. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll go the other route
I’ve got a bit of play in my carrier bearing. A lot . Is this a part that can be swapped out or does it require rebuilding the whole shaft? Anyone had to do this before?

Doesn’t go to full limp mode but just seems less power and flaky shifting. I usually stop and reset it. The thump is worse before I reset it but doesn’t go away completely
