I don't think I read this, so make sure you're not being taken for ride. If you have a 4x2, it may not be the bearings, even if the tires move more than they should. It could be a simple steering component. Check it out. Ed

Todd Z made a good point. Make sure your insurance company will go with you to court in your favor. I heard about Liberty back in the '80's. Not a single complaint back then AND they went to court for their people. Don't know about now. Ed

I shopped for a long time. K&N is the ONLY one that I know of that has the warranty it offers. In essence, they will replace it if there are problems with it. Also, when you go to different brands, consider the possibility of gauze breaking apart. Ed

Marc, I have 109,000 on my 02. I had issues as well early on before I changed to synthetic. Stupid question. Is you diff LS? Look into what Todd and Stonemiser say. I would also include that if you do not have a 4.10 you may be asking for trouble hitting the pedal that hard. Ed

Which rear end do you have now? What are your plans, towing, long hauls, hills? Do you have 2 or 4 wd? Will you be in snow or not? I discovered that the 4.10 needs good tires for winter use. Let me know and perhaps I can add to the excellent advice here. Ed

Just take your time and research tires. Firestones are good tires. They, with a bunch of others are made in Japan. Some tires are more inexpensive than others because of the compounds used in them. Personally, I think they are good but fall very short of my needs.

The front sway bar bushings tend to make a grinding squeaky noise. The sound can also be reflected under the truck. Check it out. Ed
