@Robert Vaars IMO, replacing the stock OE speakers with high quality aftermarket 6 x 8 coaxials or better will make a HUGE difference in sound quality. IIRC, the stock speakers are full range with paper cones. It was one of my first upgrades when I bought my Trac in 2009. IIRC, I replaced the...

    Dome lights 2004 sport trac

@alanbunch55 Front (left) replaced with a Sylvania Zevo 194 (6000K) LED lamp. Snaps in without any modification. Rear (right) is a stock 922 incandescent lamp. Not sure where you can find the black inserts. Maybe salvage yards?

    Clunky noises

@alanbunch55 2001-05 (Gen 1) OE body mount failure is much more common. Especially below the "B" and "C" pillar locations that are orange colored MCU foam that dry rot over time. Almost a 100% failure rate regardless of environment. IIRC, 2007-10 (Gen 2) uses rubber body mounts in all locations...

    Door Issue

Door hinge bolts rarely loosen by themselves. Check the plastic door striker bushings. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174697956969

    Door panel trim retainer clips??

May take time to match, but these aftermarket replacement parts have been OE quality from my past orders. Also at a fraction of dealer prices. A Ford part number will help match and speed up your search. https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Ford_Clips_And_Fasteners_s/63.htm

    2004 sport trac cluster

VERY common issue with 2004-05 Sport Tracs that have digital odometers. I'm fortunate my 2005 cluster is still OK. GL https://circuitboardmedics.com/2004-2005-ford-explorer-sport-trac-instrument-cluster-repair/?srsltid=AfmBOoorky5too-1V_eUGspnmuwebHCvCROR1MGe1VfHobmxvAv3L6Vd

    Timing chain

Ditto Todd. Passenger side valve cover leak. Telltale sign is oil dripping ABOVE the hydraulic tensioner. Clean off the oil and see if the drips reappear after running the engine. Duplicate post from 7/7/24. Link below. https://sporttrac.org/threads/rear-tensioner-leaking.124508/

    Its not a Kia

Key must have been left in the ignition unless the thief had a spare. PATS is difficult to disable, if not impossible unless custom tuned.

    Rear tensioner leaking

Very likely a common valve cover leak. Telltale is oil residue ABOVE the rear hydraulic tensioner. Clean off the oil, run the engine, and and see if oil reappears above the tensioner. Most 4.0L SOHC valve cover leaks occur towards the rear because of exhaust manifold heat. Here's an old pic of...

Pre/Post timing chain issues of early Gen1

4.0L SOHC timing chains rarely fail. Plastic timing chain GUIDES break. Still scratching my head why an aftermarket parts company hasn't made metal reinforced timing chain guides. I messaged Cloyes, Melling, and even Dorman years ago and only heard crickets.

    2003 Sport Trac Conundrum

Nice work! Your center electrode wear appears normal. Like the OEM Motorcraft SP-500 plugs, the NGK TR55GP are a "finewire" design with very small center electrodes, https://www.google.com/search?sca_e...2ahUKEwjf-Oum0NGGAxVMIUQIHWlgEVQQtKgLegQIDhAB 2005 XLS

    Brake problem- still squishy

Were both calipers removed when troubleshooting? Somewhat common issue is switching driver and passenger side calipers when the bleeders end up on the bottom. Impossible to purge all the air unless the bleeders are on the top. Pretty easy to visibly check the bleeders if you removed the calipers.
