Does it cause any false triggers of the backup proximity warning signal? On my 2010 G2, if I back up with the tailgate down the warning beeper sounds constantly.

I just looked at online photos of the rear bumper of about six different STAs and did not see the telltale sensors on any of them so I guess it was a cosmetic issue decision not to interrupt the clean lines of the rear bumper.
