Fraser rebuilt engine in my 2005 Sport Trac

Fraser rebuilt engine in my 2005 Sport Trac. 18 months ago the timing chains gave out on the original 4.0 SOHC engine with about 150,000 miles on it. I ordered a rebuilt engine from the local Ford dealer. It was all there except valve covers and intake. I did not check timing, assuming it...

Any reviews a Engine and Transmission of America?

Any reviews a Engine and Transmission of America (ETA) see attached? I need a rebuilt engine for my 2005 2 wheel drive 4.0 SOHC Sport Trac. Jasper and Powertrain Products are telling me they can’t get part for the rebuild. ETA is say they can do it in 3 weeks.

'10 4.0 Timing Chain Tensioner Install

I suggest going with Ford OEM tensioner. I used Autozone and the another brand and the rattle came back less then 5k miles on both. Someone on the site said don’t use non-OEM. Which I then installed and the motor sounds great 30k miles now.

What causes post timing chain replacement (all 3) severe power loss condition?

check you catalytic converters sounds like a back pressure issue. I had it happen to mine. When it would not go faster I assume you had gas peddle to the floor and 20 is all it would go.

Fuel gauge not working then works after engine restart

2005 Sport Trac, I start it and start driving and the fuel gauge reads below empty with no warning light on for low fuel. I pull over and restart the engine and the gauge reads correctly. Any ideas on what is starting to fail? It does not read incorrectly every time I start it.
